My students!!! Today, it’s hard to say goodbye. I know these last few weeks haven’t been easy.

Now our lessons and distance learning is over and it's time to summarize and have a rest. 

 It has been a great year and I want you to know that I have enjoyed every moment of teaching you.I hope you feel the same and that you will take what you have learned this year and build on it as you continue your studies.

A restaurant that only serves cheese, but hundreds of cheeses from many countries and in lots of different forms. They serve reasonably priced lunches but dinner can be expensive. Lovely food and a very elegant dining room, looking onto an amazing flower garden.

Fast Best

Fast food doesn’t have to be junk food, as this café proves. Do you fancy a really good hamburger made with the best ingredients, or old-fashioned fish and chips fried to perfection, all on the table in super-quick time? Speed and quality are important here, and the prices aren’t bad either.

The Chocolate Box

The owner of this small café used to cook all kinds of food, but then she realised she preferred desserts to anything else. If you want meat or fish, don’t come here. They only do desserts! Lots of different kinds of sweets. Chocolate lovers will be excited by the range of chocolate cakes.

Musical Chairs

Have you noticed how music improves the taste of your food? This new restaurant has different types of live music every night except Sundays, and excellent food to go with it. Great fish dishes, steak and pizza. Monday is classic rock night, so see you there!

A banquet is a FOOD AND BEVERAGE service at a specific time and place, to a given number of people, to an agreed menu and price. Banquets are special functions for social professional and state occasions.

EXAMPLES

SOCIAL OCCASIONS: Wedding Receptions, Birthday Parties, Cocktail parties, New Year parties etc.

PROFFESIONAL EVENTS: Conferences, Convention, Training programs, Board meetings etc.

Banqueting is a business of selling space to hold functions. Banquets require large halls with kitchens to provide quantity foods, Banquet halls are found in large hotels where banquet business is part of the overall revenue strategy

Following are the principal members of banquets:

Banquet Manager is the overall in charge of meeting banquet sales targets, developing banquet business, customer contact, banquet administration and supervising all arrangements.

Banquet Sales coordinator prepares sales kits, fact sheets layouts and proposed menus, visits potential guests to solicit business, conducts FAM tours of facility

Banquet Menu

The Banquet Sales coordinator coordinates with the Chef to prepare a choice of two table d’hôte menus or give suggestions for a buffet. This makes it convenient for the customer who is always looking for suggestions, and the chef who plan meals keeping in mind factors such as availability of raw material, cost and preparation times. The word "buffet" or "a la fourchette" means "fork" in French. This cutlery is the symbol and immutable attribute for every buffet.

Buffet doesn’t demand excessive ingenuity as it has its own rules and specific aims. The main aim of buffet is nominal celebration. It implies snacks and, what is more, possibility to mix with its participants and guests.

The Dilizhans Catering Company organizes and realizes such buffet services as:

· Cocktail-Buffet as the end of conferences and presentations

· Lunch-Buffet is organized for companies’ parties or anniversaries

· Business-Buffet is time limited, but it’s obligatory to observe etiquette

· Private-Buffet is without restrictions and rules, by the client’s requests

The aim of buffet is important for its management, according to which we make personal menu, design stylistics. Company’s colors, ideas and subject of buffet are considered. The Dilizhans Catering Company Buffet menu contains more than 2000 culinary work items which emphasize the magnificence of European, Ukrainian, Italian, French, Japanese cuisines. Tips for restaurant buffet etiquette:

• Walk around and look at all the food items before making your selection. That way you can plan, starting with what appeals to you the most. Start there and work your way toward items you would like to try without running out of room on your plate.
• When dining out at a buffet style restaurant, always get a fresh plate before putting food on it. Returning with the same plate is unsanitary and may spread germs and bacteria.
• Never reach around someone else. Doing so is not only rude, but it's also likely to cause an accident that can be avoided if you wait until they are finished making their selection.
• Keep the line moving. Don't hover over the serving table while trying to figure out whether or not you want something. If you aren't sure, move on and come back later, after you decide.
• Don't touch any of the food in the serving dishes. Never use your fingers to pluck something off a serving dish. Use the tongs, spoon, or serving fork that is provided. You also don't want to lick your fingers while standing at the serving counter.

• Place all serving utensils in the original dishes. You don't want to cross contaminate items. If someone is allergic to a food item that winds up in another dish, that person may become very sick.
• When you get up from your table to return to the buffet, place your napkin on the seat of your chair to let others know you are returning.
• If you feel the urge to cough or sneeze, turn your head away from the serving table. Even if there is a sneeze guard, some of the germs can spread to the food.
• Even though you are serving yourself at a buffet, you will want to leave a tip. The staff still has to remove dirty plates and clean the table.
• Most buffet style restaurants have a policy of not allowing doggie bags with leftovers. You may eat all you want, as long as you do it there.
